Delegation of the State Customs Committee of Pridnestrovie participated in the International Customs Forum – 2019 dedicated to the Customs Day of the Russian Federation and hosted by the Federal Customs Service.
During the visit leadership of the Pridnestrovian Customs met with their Russian colleagues. The meeting was of official character and was focused on the issues of export to the Russian Federation of goods originated from Pridnestrovie.
Representatives of the State Customs Committee of Pridnestrovie described in detail difficulties and barriers faced by Pridnestrovian exporters. The sides also discussed additional mechanisms to facilitate export to the Russian Federation provided that effectiveness of customs control would be preserved.
As the Head of the Pridnestrovian Customs Mr. Vitaly Nyagu highlighted after the meeting, protocols which had been early signed were completely fulfilled. Russian counterparts, in turn, appreciated the ongoing cooperation as positive.
The Pridnestrovian delegation took part in business program of the forum: presentations, master-classes devoted to different topics in the field of foreign trade and customs managing. Special interest was shown in projects of the Federal Customs Service on introduction of artificial intelligence technologies for purposes of automation of customs operations.
The same direction is being implemented by the State Customs Committee of PMR in compliance with Program “Electronic Customs”. “Technologies which we observed during customs forum are of crucial importance for us,” Mr. Vitaly Nyagu said. “We intend to put in practice the best of everything keeping up with Russian customs vector in Pridnestrovie.”
