Chairman of the State Customs Committee of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic and representatives of structural units of SCC recently visited Moscow, Russian Federation to take part in the XVI International exhibition «Customs Service — 2015».
Following the invitation of the Federal Customs Service of Russia Pridnestrovian customs officers participate in this traditional annual customs forum over a number of years. The exhibition «Customs Service — 2015» was held under the slogan «The Eurasian Economic Unit: customs and economics» and it was solemnly opened in the Central Exhibition Complex Expocentre.
The exhibition welcomed representatives of customs administrations from 32 foreign countries, the World Customs Organization, and business entities. On the sidelines of this international forum Yury Gervazyuk, Chairman of the State Customs Committee of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, had a constructive dialogue with his Russian counterpart Andrey Belyaninov.
Representatives of the State Customs Committee of Pridnestrovie viewed the exhibition as well as they were fully involved into business program of the forum including international conference on enhancing customs control of goods transported in the framework of Internet trading. The range of problems with regard to strengthening post-clearance control with the view of minimizing customs offences and corruption on the stage of customs clearance of goods was also discussed.
The best practices of Russian Customs and administrations of other states are introduced into everyday work of Pridnestrovian customs bodies. Among official meetings in Moscow Chairman of the State Customs Committee Yury Gervazyuk and heads of the core structural units met with First Deputy Head of the Federal Customs Service of Russia Vladimir Malinin. The sides focused on actual issues of customs cooperation including customs valuation of goods, simplification of export to Russian Federation of goods originated from Pridnestrovie as well as methodological assistance in replenishment of Pridnestrovian customs value database. Resulting from the meeting the protocol of working meeting was signed.
